Hello Bros and BroSistas,

We are getting close to event time, and just wanted to give you an update of progress. So far we’ve collectively raised over $11,000! Keep up the good work!

But, we still have a ways to go…so get on Facebook, send out emails and hit the streets. Remember, if you raise $250 you get into the event on Thursday for free.

Speaking of the event, it starts at 6pm. Our chefs have planned a ‘scrumptious’ spread of dude food complete with various bacon varietals.  Specials drinks are shaping up, and beer will be plenty – including a firkin of Empyrean Dark Side Vanilla Porter ‘dry hopped’ with coffee beans!  Try your chance at games of skill in the Bell’s Brewery Midway – hammerschlagen, giant jenga, crokinole, Big Buck Hunter, Golden Tee Golf and sit down Pac Man & Asteroids!  Don’t worry if you don’t have time to get your facial hair in check before you get here – Everett’s barbers will be here to groom & trim you, or Kim Jore can paint one on.  Once you’re set, Jack Sunday will usher you in to the Main Event of facial hair judging by Christopher Gabriel, Sandy Buttweiler, John Strand, Diane Miller, Bill Marcil, Melissa Sobolik and Dennis Walaker!  Start thinking about your style, prizes will be awarded for:
Best Costume
Best Mustache
Most Creative
Most Grizzly
Best Team
and out of these winners Best in Show will be named

There will also be prizes for Top Individual and Team Earners

After that, Heavy is the Head will groove up the party!

We request all chance drawing tickets be turned in to the event registration table by 8pm Thursday. If you need more, we got ‘em, just stop at the HoDo. Also at this time we will be collecting donations you may have from pins and any other cash or check donations you’ve collected (payable to American Cancer Society).

FeBROary is just around the bend.  A few of us at the Donaldson have already started to form our ‘canvasses’, so to speak (remember, there is no need for a ‘clean slate’ on 2/1), and are gearing up for another month of growing, flowing, showing and raising funds for men in the area fighting prostate cancer!

We have a few changes in store for this year’s event.  We’ll tell you all about them on Monday, January 28 in Stoker’s at the Hotel Donaldson, 6p.  In the meantime, get your teammates together, register, and plan your facial masterpiece!
